The Canoe Cruisers Association of Greater Washington, DC, has over 1000 members from Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia and other nearby regions. It offers kayaking and canoeing skills and safety instruction, river and lakes conservation, canoe and kayak competitive racing, meetings, and trips. Canoe Cruisers helps paddlers get together for mutually arranged cooperative adventures to explore local lakes, rivers and streams. All trips coordinated by the club are informal get together for interested paddlers.
