Frederick County 40 miles North of Harrisonburg between Strasborg and
Winchester along Highway 81 off near Stephens City 72 miles east of Washington D.C. Middletown is the site of the historic Battle of Cedar Creek; the Cedar Creek Battlefield Visitors Center, on Valley Pike, overlooks the battlefield and offers interpretive displays, battle mementos, and a videotape. For those interested in America's favorite snack food, visit the Route 11 Potato Chip Factory on Main Street.
