Orange is located in
Orange County, of which it is the county seat, in the
Central Region of the state 26 miles NE of
Charlottesville between Montpelier Station and Unionville along Highway 15 on the banks of the Rapidan River in the
Central Region of the state. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 1,150, an increase of 284 since 1990.
