Sports Capital is a non-profit affiliate of the Greater
Lynchburg Chamber. Their organization's goals are to advocate the improvement of
Lynchburg youth and adult athletic facilities and promote their city as a center for sporting events in Virginia. Lynchburg benefits from their efforts in three major ways: The local economy's tax base benefits through tourism; out-of-town visitors spend money in their motels and restaurants. The city's name is promoted throughout the nation in a positive manner. Their quality of life is enhanced through the creation of new athletic facilities and the availability of top-drawer athletic events.
