On exhibition since 1900 the Virginia Zoological Park houses more than 300 animals in such exhibits as a farmyard, a waterfowl pond, a large-mammal environment and a small-mammal building. A botanical conservatory is on the grounds. Open daily 10am-5pm, closed major holidays. Admission is free to all Saturday and Sunday 4-5pm.
