In 1678, one of the most significant manors in Virginia was constructed by Christopher Robinson (1645-1692/3). This home was the gathering place for many of the important families of Virginia who helped shape the colony into the state it eventually became. Hewick is on the National Register of Historic Places, and the Virginia Landmarks Register of Historic Places. Hewick may be one of the few Bed and Breakfast places in the USA that enables you to actually spend the night in a 320+ years old home. It is currently owned and resided in by 11th generation descendants of Christopher Robinson. The Plantation now consists of 66 acres within walking distance into the original 1680 Port Town of Urbanna. When you stay at Hewick you can enjoy the same important colonial architectural details found in the 17th Century colonial home plus 21st C comfort and convenience.
