Poe Museum provides a retreat into early nineteenth century Richmond where Edgar Allan Poe lived and worked. The museum features the life and career of Edgar Allan Poe by documenting his accomplishments with pictures, relics, and verse, and focusing on his many years in Richmond. The protection, preservation, and public presentation of the Poe museum's collection, historic buildings and garden are the primary considerations in implementing the Poe museum's rental arrangements. Rental is for wedding ceremonies only. The garden is not available for receptions or private parties. Area attractions include St. John’s Episcopal Church, Paramount’s Kings Dominion, Hollywood Cemetery, and Richmond riverfront.
