This rocky promontory, the easternmost point in the United States, juts into the Caribbean Sea. The climb to this point, by a rutted dirt road is worth the effort. On the way back, look for `The Castle`, an enormous mansion atop the cliffs that resembles a cross between Moorish mosque and the Taj Mahal. It was built by an extravagant recluse known only as the Contessa.
