Savan

A neighborhood of small streets and small houses, it was first

laid out in the 1700s as the residential area for a growing

class of `free coloreds`, a middle class of artisans, clerks

and shopkeepers. You'll find a row of Rastafarian shops along

the first block and a restaurant that sells pate, and a delicious turn-over type pastry stuffed

with meat or vegetables.
