Fayston

Fayston is located in Washington County.

Chartered on February 27, 1782, it was named after the Fay family, who were prominent in the state's founding.

The 2000 Census pegs Fayston's population at 1,141 residents.

A nearby point of interest is the privately owned Battleground covered bridge, which spans an unnamed tributary of the Mad River. It is adjacent to Route 17, between Irasville and the entrance to Mad River Glen.
