West Burke, serving an area of 360 residents, has a collection of 4,600 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 29 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials. Staffing consists solely of volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $660. Patrons make 600 visits annually, and check out materials 2,200 times. Five percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
