Lowell Community Library, serving an area of 750 residents, has a collection of 3,400 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 4 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials210 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $3,700. Patrons make 750 visits annually, and check out materials 3,200 times. Thirty-three percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
