Rockingham, pop. 5,813, is located in
Windham County, nine miles north of
Bellows Falls. It lies off Interstate 91 along Highway 103.
Chartered on December 28, 1752, Rockingham has a long industrial history, including the production of the first paper made from wood. The Old Meeting House, built in 1787, is used for both public meetings and church services. There are also many historic covered bridges in the area.
