Black Lantern Inn, opened in 1803, is featured on the National Register of Historic Places. It offers eight individually decorated guest rooms and seven suites in two buildings, the main Inn and the Burdette House. The rooms feature Vermont antique furniture, and baths, and several have fireplaces or wood burning stoves. An outdoor hot tub is located in the gazebo behind the inn. A complimentary breakfast comprising cinnamon vanilla French toast, yogurt pancakes, omelettes, eggs, Wolferman's English muffins, fresh fruit, and Maple oatmeal, is served. A full bar, including a selection of international wines and Vermont micro-brewed beers, is attached. Smoking is allowed only in the porch. Skiing, fishing, canoeing, and bicycling are the prominent activities.
