A 49,000-acre wilderness created by Congress in the 1984 Washington Wilderness Act, the Boulder River Wilderness is located in the
Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest with elevations ranging from below 1000 feet to a 6854-foot peak. Nine small lakes are contained in the area, which also has the Boulder River running through it.
There are 25 miles of hiking trails. It is a low elevation valley which often allows for year round, snow free enjoyment.
