Sequim School District No. 323 occupies a location of unique natural beauty, nestled between the Olympic Mountains and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The mountains serve as a broom, sweeping rain from the prevailing southerly winds. This lessens Sequim's annual rainfall to an average of 16 inches per year. The community rests only an hour and a half from the Seattle ferries, and half an hour from the ferry to Victoria, B.C. Canada.

Seattle Japanese Cultural Festival Seattle WA April26-28 The festival features Japanese exhibits, performances, and demonstrations. Held at the Seattle Center in the Fisher Pavilion. The annual festival began in 1976 with a gift of 1,000 cherry trees to the city of Seattle from the Japanese government to celebrate the U.S. Bicentennial.
