The Whatcom Children's Museum opened to the public in 1989 and was first called the Children's Museum Northwest. Since its opening, over a quarter million children and adults have visited the museum.
A full scale renovation took place in 1995, and now the museum occupies over 4000 sq. ft. in downtown Bellingham.
Exhibits include the Pat Formway Learning Cener, a toddler area, and the Enrichment Center for more independent exploration.
The Children's Museum is open year round and offers a safe and secure environment. A small admission fee is charged.
