Search Visit Washington
The island was named by the 1841 Wilkes Expedition honoring John Clark, a midshipman killed in Perry's Battle of Lake Erie.

The 55 acre park features primitive camping, picnicking, saltwater fishing, hiking, scuba diving and clam digging. The island has over 11,000 feet of shoreline on the Strait of Georgia.

It is one of a group of three small islands, located off the northeast tip of Orcas Island.

The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed parks and covers about a quarter million acres.
