The Columbian Mammoth was similar in size to the African elephant, and weighed as much as ten tons. It's enormous tusks were up to fourteen feet long.

The Columbian Mammoth died out about 10,000 years ago. Fossils of this huge beast have been found on the Olympic Peninsula.
