The depot was built in 1881 and is Washington state's oldest rail depot. It was in operation until the 1970s, when it was listed as a National Historic Site. The Union Pacific Railroad donated the depot to the Dayton Historical Depot Society in 1975. Hours are 9 to 5, Tuesday through Saturday.
