Eagle Island State Park

The park lies between Anderson and McNeil Islands in Pierce County.

The island was probably named by the Wilkes Expedition (which also named Anderson Island) for a member of the party, Harry Eagle.

The small 10-acre park has 3 mooring buoys and features clamming and fishing as its primary activities. Pay attention to the poison oak, which abounds on the island.

The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed parks and covers about a quarter million acres.
