Olympic Veterinary Hospital was founded in April 1985, by Drs. Mike and Mardell Ryan. Initially, the hospital served primarily the equine and farm animal community that was prominent in the Silverdale area at the time. It is also a member of the American Animal Hospital Association. The Hospital's service includes preventative medicine, dentistry, advanced dentistry, surgery, and diagnostics. Cat "condos" are available for rent on a "per room" basis. It also provides both medicated baths as well as flea treatments using their Hydrosurge bathing unit.
