Glacier View Wilderness
|---|
This is a fairly small wilderness on the west side of Mount Rainier, at the boundary between Mount Rainier National Park and Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Visitors can hike to the top of 5,450-foot Glacier View for an amazing view of Mount Rainier. The headwaters of one fork of the Puyallup River are found here, as well as nine small alpine lakes. Elk and mountain goats graze in the basin in the summer months.
