Kennewick Man

It all started in 1996 when a 9,200 year old skull was found along the Columbia River in Kennewick. Searches turned up a near-complete male skeleton, now known as Kennewick Man. The skeleton is the oldest and most complete skeleton found in the Americas. Today, the remains are stored at the Burke Museum of Natural Hist & Culture, although they are not on display.
