City Map with Features
Founded in 1910, the original Swedish Hospital began as a 24-bed facility in Seattle's First Hill neighborhood. Today, the Swedish/First Hill Campus is a major medical center and the flagship facility for the Swedish health-care system. The First Hill campus is home to one of Washington state's most active and advanced birthing programs, including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Other services on the campus include the Swedish Cancer Institute, Swedish Pediatric Specialty Care, the Swedish Heart Institute and the Swedish Neuroscience Institute. More surgeries are performed at the First Hill facility than any other medical center in the state, including the largest, more comprehensive orthopedic-surgery program in the region.
