On Whidbey Island, the gardens contain 53 acres of more than 2,000 plants and features superior rhododendron hybrids, rare and unusual rhododendron species, azaleas, spring bulbs displays, and naturalized companion plantings in a peaceful Pacific Northwest woodland setting. Open 9 to 4 daily. Peak bloom at the gardens is April through May. Gardens are open to the public throughout Washington.
