A Lewis County community 20 miles east of Interstate 5 on Hwy 12, Mossyrock was named by an early settler for a mossy crag that rises 200 feet above the east end of Klickitat Prairie. Today, Mossyrock occupies farming country along the Cowlitz River northwest of Mount St Helens. The primary crops here are tulips, Christmas trees, and blueberries.
