The 228,480 acre wilderness is home to the highest peak in Washington stat - Mount Rainier. Within the wilderness, you'll find over 300 miles of maintained trails, 500 miles of rivers and streams, 382 bodies of water, and hundreds of species of plants, mammals, birds, and reptiles.

Most of the Mount Rainier National Park is designated wilderness.
