Historical availability of razor clams made this an important destination for the seasonal digging periods. Visitors can still dig for razor clams in certain areas within the park.
The park offers many shoreside amenities including camping, picnicking, fishing, horseback riding, kite flying, surfing, scuba diving, beachcombing, bird watching and mushroom picking.
