Annual Antique & Classic Motorcycle Show |
The Sky Valley Antique & Classic Motorcycle Show is held the 3rd Sunday in May on First Street in downtown Snohomish. Each year, hundreds of motorcyclists from around Puget Sound ride to town to celebrate the history of motorcycling and Snohomish. First Street is closed to automobiles, and motorcycles park down the middle and along the sides of First Street.The Seattle Cossacks Motorcycle Stunt Drill Team provides an hour-long acrobatic performance on pre-1950 bikes each year. Their skill and precision amazes the crowd, young and old alike. Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite bikes in the trophy competition. The overall favorite receives the 'Best of Show' trophy, and there are other categories to choose from. A trophy is also given to the rider who travels the furthest distance to enter the show. Local shops are open, and several offer specials just for the day.
