Orcas Island is the largest of Washington's San Juan Islands. It is in fact very close to the Canadian border, lying 23 miles northeast of Victoria, BC, although not as close as nearby San Juan Island. The largest community on Orcas Island is Eastsound, others being Deer Harbor, Orcas and Olga. Several Washington State Parks are located on or near the island.
