This 20-acre day-use park commemorates treaties and agreements that came about from the war of 1812 and celebrates the unguarded US/Canada border. The arch straddles the border of the two nations, and the countries co-maintain the monument.
The park features beautiful lawns and gardens, and offers magnificient views of the San Juan Islands and Vancouver Island. It is located at the border crossing point at Blaine.
The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed parks and covers about a quarter million acres.
