The Pink House, built in 1868, is important for its early construction date and special architectural style (late Greek Revival), and has recently undergone a complete renovation. Neglected and derelict for years, it now stands proud again in the Uptown National Historic Landmark District.
The Pink House is significant because few houses built so early in Washington survive today.
