Posey Island State Park

Search Visit Washington

The small island park covers only one acre, with 1,000 feet of shoreline on Spieden Channel. Since the park is accessible only by boat, it is used primarily by canoe and kayak recreationists for primitive camping and picnicking.

This marine state park is located a quarter mile north of Roche Harbor on San Juan Island.

The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed parks and covers about a quarter million acres.
