Built in 1903-08, the home features interior oak paneling, hand-painted murals and a state-of-the-art built-in vacuum cleaning system. A gallery displays the changing exhibits of regional arts.

Tours of the home are available upon request. The home is managed by the Whatcom County Parks & Recreation Department. It is used for concerts, classes, art exhibits, and can also be rented for parties, weddings, and receptions.

There are many Historic Houses preserved in all regions of Washington.
