View the Pend O'reille River and Priest Lake Valleys from atop 6000 ft. South Baldy Lookout in the beautifully timbered Kaniksu/Colville Nat'l Forest. We are located about 30 miles north of Newport, WA on Kings Lake Road, & only 9 miles from Usk, WA. At North Skookum you can catch Rainbow & Native Brook Trout; pick mushrooms and huckleberries seasonally. The campground includes 32 campsites under a canopy of 120 ft. pines, cedars & firs complete with picnic tables, fire pits, & water (no electricity). They offer modern restrooms with hot showers and fresh running water. You can rent rowboats and barges by the day (bring your own motor). Spend a peaceful day or weekend of camping and fishing. Trails abound for hikers, too.

Open about Memorial Day Weekend and end on the last day of fishing season, October 31st. weather permitting.
