Startup Washington |
Startup is a town on the Skykomish River. It was named for George Startup, a manager of the local lumber company. He was responsible for building a four-mile long flume that delivered logs down the side of a nearby mountain to the mill. Startup is connected by Highway 12 with other Snohomish County communities to the west and Wenatchee in eastern Washington.
Startup is part of the Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA metro area.
