St. Mary's Mission

Father Etienne de Rouge founded this Jesuit mission in 1886 to minister to the bands of the Colville Federation.

The present church dates from 1910, and remains an active Catholic church today. The adjacent Paschal Sherman Indian School, the state's only Indian boarding school, is managed by the Colville Confederated Tribes.
