Prior to being a state park, the area was a fishing resort location.The park features picnicking and an ADA-compliant boat launch. There is excellent off- and near-shore fishing access and great views of Hood Canal. The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed parks and covers about a quarter million acres.
