Joel Mills, the winemaker began his career as an amateur winemaker in 1990. His first wines made from Buffalo red grapes and Palomino grapes were a pallatable success. At Widgeon Hill Winery the wine list includes Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Tunupa Red, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon Blanc.
