A non-profit, community based organization founded in 1956, Bainbridge Performing Arts’ goal is to educate, entertain and encourage children and adults in the performing arts. For most of its history, BPA lacked a place to call home. In March of 1993, the organization opened The Playhouse, a new $1.2 million facility funded largely by generous Bainbridge Island individuals and organizations honoring BPA's contribution to the community.
