August Inn is located on Anderson Island in Southern Puget Sound. Situated just across the bay from the Nisqually National Wildlife Area, there is a feeling of remote solitude. Your private beach awaits, just outside your door. Conveniently close to Puget Sound's major metropolitan areas, travel time includes a picturesque ferry ride from the historic town of Steilacoom.

The Inn is located at Lyle Point on the southeastern shore of the island. Situated on one acre which slopes to 125 feet of low bank waterfront, the Inn is just a few feet from the water's edge. The panoramic view reaches north to the Tacoma Narrows and south to the Nisqually River Delta, with the view east to the snowcapped peak of Mt. Rainier. Anderson Island is a full service island with a general store, two restaurants and several parks. It is ideal for long country walks or bike rides.
