Winlock is located in Lewis County, 2 miles west of Interstate 5. Highway 505 crosses Interstate 5 and connects Winlock with Toledo. Olequa Creek runs through the center of town. In the 1960s, Winlock was famous for its egg hatcheries which produced over 2.5 million chicks a year. The annual Egg Days celebration features a parade, pancake breakfast, horse show, free egg salad sandwiches, and more.
