Chelan County features the largest lake in Washington, Lake Chelan, and the most productive apple-growing regions in the state. The county seat is Wenatchee, which like the resort town of Chelan lies on Highway 97. Other major communities include Leavenworth, noted for its Bavarian theme, and Cashmere.
