Lewis County

Named for explorer Meriwether Lewis, the county is the only one in Washington with direct access to Mount Rainier and Mount St Helens that extends into the eastern border of the Cascades.

Its two major cities, Chehalis and Centralia, lie close together on Interstate 5.
