Stevens County

Stevens County is bordered by the Spokane River on the south and the Columbia River on the west, except that its boundary follows the Kettle River northwest from the point of its confluence with the Columbia.

The county seat is Colville. The falls for which Kettle Falls was named was drowned when the Grand Coulee Dam backed up the Columbia River and created Franklin D Roosevelt Lake.
