One of Washington's smallest counties in terms of population, Wahkiakum is on the less well traveled northern side of the Columbia River. It includes the historic towns of
Cathlamet, the county seat, and
Skamokawa. The ferry connecting
Puget Island to Westport OR is the last ferry still actively working on the Columbia.
