The Amish Attic

The Amish Attic creates all of their beautiful baskets by hand. An Amish family in Southwest Wisconsin works together together on these handmade beauties. Each member of the family has a designated job to do when creating the baskets. The base of the basket is made of birch plywood. The weaving material is bamboo and hand dipped for color. The handles are either oak or ash (a few are leather), and the lids are lunan. Each basket is signed and dated by the family.
