The Elroy-Sparta State Trail is 32 miles in length and stretches from Elroy to Sparta Wisconsin. It runs along the abandoned Chicago & Northwestern Railroad bed and passes through three rock tunnels, the Kendall, the Wilton, and the Norwalk. The tunnels are 1/4 to 3/4 miles long. The trail is surfaced with limestone making for a smooth ride. All bridges are covered with planks and are guarded with railings. The trail headquarters along with a concession center and railroad history museum is located in the village of Kendall. There are trail passes, T-shirts, patches and other souvenirs are for sale as well as bike rentals in the concession center. There is public parking and a picnic area.
