Kenosha History Center

The Kenosha History Center on historic Simmons Island features the 1866 Southport Lighthouse & Keepers Cottage. This was the first government lighthouse and was erected in 1848. The history center offers two galleries along with the lighthouse, the Rambler Gallery and the Yesteryear Gallery. The Kenosha History Center is the headquarters of the Kenosha County Historical Society.
